Sandra Lamonaca was born in Launceston, Tasmania. She is currently studying for a Diploma of Photoimaging at Melbourne Polytechnic working alongside industry leaders.
Sandra has exhibited work at the Brunswick Street Gallery. She was a semi-finalist in the 2015 Head-on Portrait Prize, where her image of Vulnerability was screened alongside other semi finalists at the Museum of Sydney.
Sandra is currently working on a range of conceptualised personal self-portrait projects that explore the interaction between the subject and the natural world.
She is inspired by facial expressions, as a form of story telling, and continues in her ongoing passion to capture portraiture in the natural environment.
