I have been painting, illustrating and cartooning for most of my life. As a young man I made a brief attempt at studying art but I found that I learned more from observing the skills of my dad, a technical illustrator and artist. I committed to full time painting in 2008 and haven't looked back since.
My acrylic paintings are mostly realistic depictions of buildings and scenery we may pass each day yet overlook.I used to think I had to travel far and wide to find landscapes worthy of committing to a canvas but now I've found sufficient beauty and strangeness within minutes of my Box Hill South studio.
My paintings have found homes through art shows, galleries, cafes, 2 solo exhibitions and commissions. I have been a guest artist at the 2015 Roberts McCubbin Art Show and a feature artist at the 2018 Canterbury Art Exhibition. I look forward to many years of creating these paintings on the easel my dad handed down to me.
